Approaches

Curation

[tooltip content=”在中文领域，关于中国慈善的内容已经非常之多，我们完全不必再去创造新的内容。所以，我们将采用内容集展的方式，充分挖掘现有信息的意义。” url=”” ]There is already a huge amount of information on Chinese philanthropy in Chinese, so there is absolutely no need for us to create more information.  Instead, we will take a curation approach—organizing and making sense of existing information.[/tooltip]

Connection

  • Connecting content: we provide content from different sources, in different formats, and from different countries
  • Connecting people: we encourage everyone to interact with fellow members through commenting at this stage; we will add conversation function later to facilitate Q&A and discussions.
  • Connecting hearts: we foster an environment for members to share their aspirations, passions, and even frustrations, and for us all to help and support each other and the community.

 Differentiation for integration

[tooltip content=”譬如，中美慈善现在处于不同的发展阶段，所以我们建设2个网站，英文网站以信息为主，中文网站以知识和实践为主。” url=”” ]For example, noticing the different stages of philanthropic development in China and in the USA,  the English site of GP Common will be information oriented, while the Chinese site will focus on knowledge and skill-building.[/tooltip]
